Do you wish to finance your home?Stressed out about applying for a mortgage? You don't have to be. Being connected to several lending companies in Montrose has helped me realize some things that can make the loan application process very easy.
1 – Organize a list of questions regarding your loan programBe sure you bring a list of questions with you if you find that you don't thoroughly grasp the pros and cons of the various loan programs. Oftentimes, it can be hard to understand the distinctions between fixed and adjustable rate mortgages. One of my trusted lenders or I can help you understand the advantages and disadvantages of each.
2 – Determine when you want to lockBy locking in the rate, a lender is committing to the interest rates for the loan – generally at the time the loan application is received. By floating the rate, you can lock the rate at any time between the loan application day and at the time of closing. Those who choose to float presume interest rates will plunge in the near future. 3 – Determine if you want to pay additional points to decrease your rateIf you opt to pay additional points to lower the interest rate of your mortgage loan, you'll pay for them in cash at the time of closing. Each point is 1 percent of the loan. Click here to use my points calculator. It will assist you with determining if buying points is right for you.
4 – Compile your paperworkAcquiring a mortgage loan requires a lot of paperwork, so you should spend some time getting your documentation together. Click here to preview common questions you'll have to answer on a loan app.
